Our history goes back to 1977, when, Giannis Koulouridis opened a small bakery at the same spot where ‘Emeral’ lies today. There he daily made his most desirable bread and delicious sweet-bread in a wood oven.
Soon enough, his sons Konstantinos and Andreas joined their father in his effort, by evolving the art of bread-making, adding their pastry creations as well as coffee to their shop.
35 years later, the aim of the Koulouridi’s family remains the same as ever; to preserve the tradition the freshness and the excellent quality of their products and services as well as the continuous production of new flavours, aiming to make people happy and satisfied.
At Emeral Bakery Pastry shop, our pastry and bakery team, produce a variety of over 300 unique homemade savoury creations among 7 different categories such as bread and pastries , sweet and diet cookies, cakes and tarts, Ice cream & Sorbet , petit fours, Traditional Sweets (Baclava Kadaif galaktompoureko), dairy products and chocolate creations.
Since 2012, we organize a festival, once a year, as part of the celebration of the “World Day of Bread”, hosting students from primary schools of Corfu, in our premises and teaching them the
history of bread and the art of bread making.
As part of our Social Responsibility we recycle used paper packaging and oils and further we support volunteer organizations such as “The smile of a child” and “Hellenic Red Cross” and others.
